Excerpt #12

In September of 1985, my ex-wife and her new husband took my kids and moved to Seattle. He was in the Navy and worked on submarines. Between September and November of 1985, it was just me and my three Bassett Hounds, Holly, Polly and her daddy Schroeder. They were great dogs. I wish I still had them today. They were so loving and affectionate I would take them everywhere with me. Sometimes I wouldn’t eat for days just so I had enough gas in the car and food for my dogs. My life was a personal hell.
