Excerpt #36

On August 11, 1984, Donna Gentile went to my Sergeant with trumped up charges of misconduct against me While my Lieutenant. Carl Black was giving her money, I was giving her nothing and collecting information on the scandal. Once Gentile realized if I brought this to the department’s attention, she would lose her “Sugar Daddy.” Gentile and my Sergeant, Harold Goudarzi drove to the Denny’s restaurant in the College Grove area away from the beat and took a recorded statement from her. Gentile was interviewed once again, this time at a non-disclosed location in the City of Lemon Grove by Internal Affairs Lieutenant Les Ginn and Sergeants Glenn Breitenstein and Harold Goudarzi There is only a mention of this meeting, no recorded or written interview, only a statement from Breitenstein that Gentile basically stated the same thing as she had in her recorded statement. How do we know what was said? Why was no interview taken? Did Gentile mention to them about her relationship with Carl Black? I don’t think so. He was her “Sugar Daddy”. It would be her reasoning for turning me in, to keep the money coming from him. #DoAsISay,NotAsIDo.
